We've waited so long to be able to safely bring back Ottawa's contribution to the cadre of Frocktails events held around the globe, and we're once again inviting sewists of all kinds to wear their finest self-made outfit and celebrate their passion for sewing over hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.
Why now? It's been too long since we've seen each other in person. So much has changed, but is still the same. The days are blurring together, and we need a reason to break out of the loungewear rut. So here it is! With the knowledge and tools we have our disposal now, we've gone to great lengths to throw the safest party possible.
Anyone is welcome at this event, regardless of sewing ability, age (be 19+ please), gender, sexual orientation, or identity! You do not need to live in Ottawa, and you don't need to be a member of the Ottawa Garment Guild. We just want to have a fantastic evening wearing fancy handmade (preferably self-made!) clothing with fellow sewists & makers.
Ticket includes event entry, appetizers, one alcoholic drink, swag bag, entry into door prize draw, and the chance to meet some new people. We can't wait to see you on April 28th!
